Production Buildings need a connection to the Harbour Storage so that your Workers can start production or move Goods from the buildings to the storage or to other buildings. Sugar cane plantations must also be connected to the main road network. If another plot, such as an orange field, blocks the connection, delete the blocking plot and reconnect the plantation to the main roads.
Better roads (available from Chapter 2) allow Workers to transport Goods faster.
